Interview by LucíaSeCasa with Bouclé Weddings
Today, we are thrilled to share something special with all of you. Recently, we had the pleasure of sitting down and having a chat with LucíaSeCasa, a prestigious Spanish magazine specializing in weddings and bridal trends. During this conversation, we delved into what drives us as a company, how it all started, and our views on the current wedding trends.
Although we’re transcribing the interview here, we recommend reading the original version on LucíaSeCasa’s website, as it includes a collection of images that bring our conversation to life.
We hope you enjoy the blog as much as we enjoyed participating in the interview!:
Daniel and Estela bring Bouclé Weddings to life, a Wedding Planning service with ‘love as the starting point’ and based in Valencia. We chatted with them to get an in-depth understanding of their work method and took the opportunity to ask them for some clues about the latest bridal trends.
In addition to being work colleagues, Daniel and Estela have been in a relationship for eighteen years and have been married for one year. “It was precisely in organizing our own wedding when we decided to embark on this project together,” they explain. Dani is the more practical and business-oriented part of the brand, while Estela is the more creative part.
The origin of this project is where their claim comes from, of which they declare themselves deeply in love, LOVE AS THE STARTING POINT. And they are not just because of how their company started, but also because of how each of the works they develop begins. “In the end, all the weddings we organize have a common starting point: the love of our couples”.
LucíaSeCasa – Why did you decide to organize weddings?
Bouclé Weddings – Our hobbies and passions have always been geared towards interior design and decoration. Through organizing our own wedding, we realized that we had a specific aesthetic criterion that others liked. This made us reconsider the path we wanted to take and dare to start with our own brand.

LucíaSeCasa – Which couples would you recommend hiring a wedding planner to organize their wedding?
Bouclé Weddings – Undoubtedly, the wedding planner service is useful for all couples. However, almost all the couples that contact us either have the problem of not having time to organize their wedding due to their jobs or personal circumstances, or they are couples who don’t know where to start and are lost. In some cases, it is also about grooms who need help to materialize their ideas and make them real, and in many others, couples who are going to celebrate their wedding outside the city where they live. Of course, we also have couples who want to live the full experience of their wedding and like our aesthetic criteria.
LucíaSeCasa – You offer different services to the grooms, what do they consist of?
Bouclé Weddings – Our wedding planner services are four:
- 1. Portoro Service (Organization & Design)
Portoro is our most complete wedding service and the one most couples request. It is built from a deep understanding of who the bride and groom are and how they want to share their story. Our team takes care of planning, designing, organizing, and coordinating the wedding from beginning to end. We develop the visual language of their celebration and take care of all the organizational details so they can focus on enjoying their day. With our Portoro service, they delegate all responsibilities while we accompany them at all times, before and during the wedding, coordinating and addressing any setback that may happen.
- 2. Luminus Service (Organization & Design + Pre-wedding)
With Luminus we take care of shaping an event that is increasingly given more importance, the pre-wedding. In addition to taking care of all aspects as we do in the Portoro pack, we provide an added service of organization, design, and coordination of pre-weddings.
Our experience tells us that all couples find their wedding day short, that’s why pre-weddings have gained a lot of relevance lately. If they receive guests from outside their cities, they can enjoy with them more time before the celebration. It is an extension of the celebration that will allow them to create more memories with their guests. Pre-weddings also give guests the opportunity to get to know each other so that the wedding day everything is closer and familiar. In addition, it serves couples to shake off a little nerves and helps to break the ice.
- 3. Macael Service (Decorative Project & Coordination)
Macael is the service needed by couples who already have all the suppliers contracted, but they want to bring our aesthetics and design to their celebration. We will create a personalized concept and design the celebration decoration so that their wedding surprises all the guests. Of course, on the wedding day, we will take care of attending the event and coordinating with all the suppliers so that everything goes perfect.
- 4. Marmara Service (Coordination)
In the case of couples who already have everything contracted and designed, but they want to focus on enjoying that day. A few months before the wedding, we meet with them to tell us everything they already have organized and planned with their suppliers. With that information, our Bouclé Weddings team will take care of coordinating all the services in person during the celebration of the wedding, as well as providing assistance to the bride and groom and their guests. Couples only have to worry about being happy, living, and feeling every moment.
LucíaSeCasa – How do you work with them? What is your relationship with the couples like?
Bouclé Weddings – Primarily, our aim is to ensure that they also enjoy the process of planning their wedding. To that end, we provide all the support they need. We love having a close relationship with them; for us, this is not just a job. After all, we become a part of one of the happiest moments of their lives. It’s inevitable that we develop a special affection for them, get goosebumps, and even shed a tear or two on the wedding day itself. Radiating positivity and tranquillity is something we strive for with each couple, assuring them that there will be no hitches with us as everything is anticipated and controlled in advance.
LucíaSeCasa – What sets you apart? What do you offer that they won’t find with other teams?
Bouclé Weddings – At Bouclé Weddings, we stand out for our design approach centered on visual storytelling for each wedding. We place a great deal of emphasis on maintaining our aesthetic standards. We specialize in blending elements of interior design and hosting weddings in unique architectural spaces, thereby providing couples with a unique and memorable experience. In addition, we pay close attention to the pre-wedding event, including it in our Luminus package to provide a complete experience for the couple and their guests.
We also take pride in working with local suppliers, supporting the local economy, and reducing our carbon footprint. At Bouclé Weddings, we commit to offering sustainable solutions for each wedding, from the choice of suppliers to the selection of products and services. We strive to minimize our environmental impact, without sacrificing the quality of the wedding experience.
“At Bouclé Weddings, we stand out for our design approach centered on visual storytelling for each wedding”.
LucíaSeCasa – Tell us about the spring-summer trends for 2023.
Bouclé Weddings – We believe long and even curved tables will make a comeback. They’re beautiful when decorated and have a very Mediterranean style, which we think will be another of the styles present in this year’s weddings.
The ceremonies and event decor will primarily draw inspiration from and blend with the surroundings. Both nature and the buildings on the estates will form part of the decoration, so green and earth tones will reappear in 2023 weddings.
Tables will be dressed in white, linen, and nude tones. The monochrome theme will be present in table decorations and the fabrics used. In addition, photography that doesn’t distort the real colors of the weddings will be trendy, and analog-style videos will be mixed with the video style we’ve seen in the last season.
